Amplify Credit Union (Amplify) is a member-owned financial cooperative with more than 60,000 members and $1 billion in assets that helps members achieve their personal and professional financial goals in Central Texas.

Year-round, Amplify gives back to the communities its members live and work in, especially during the holidays through the activities that would regularly go unnoticed publicly.

Objectives

As its trusted PR partner for several years, Pierpont developed a proactive communications campaign that would significantly increase exposure for Amplify as well as its philanthropic efforts.

Solution

Pierpont strategically partnered Amplify with the Austin American-Statesman’s Season for Caring program. Each year, this leading daily newspaper of Central Texas features select families, nominated by respected community service organizations, that are in need during the holiday season.

Results

In 2011 alone, Amplify was featured in more than 28 media stories, including front page features full of inspiring stories of Amplify’s volunteer work, heart-warming quotes of the grateful families, and sentimental photos of each philanthropic effort. Since then, Amplify participated in Season for Caring three more times, and with Pierpont’s media coordination, has racked up nearly 100 placements.
