Senior Account Executive Deanna Werner Serves as IABC Houston President

Pierpont’s Deanna Werner began her term as President of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Houston chapter in July 2022. Deanna joined IABC in 2018, quickly became involved as Secretary and was soon named VP of Finance. Last year, she served as President-Elect while fellow Pierpointer Lauren Blalock served her term as President. 

Werner was involved in presenting at the 2021 IABC Virtual Leadership Institutes on Revenue & Reputation Hacks and Financial Management. She was also on the board when IABC won the 2020 International Chapter of the Year and 2020 Medium Chapter of the Year.  

In her role as president, Werner will lead the board of directors to accomplish chapter goals, serve as an advisory resource to all chapter members, and foster long-range chapter planning. At Pierpont, Deanna works to deliver effective public relations and marketing solutions for clients across a variety of industries including energy, higher education, chemicals, and technology.
