Pierpont Names New CFO, Senior Vice President

Pierpont Communications has announced the promotion of Brian Banks to Chief Financial Officer and Chris Jones to Senior Vice President.

“Brian and Chris are proven leaders in their respective areas and their promotions to key positions will ensure the agency continues to deliver superior client service and growth,” said Chief Operating Officer Clint Woods.

Banks has more than 30 years of experience in accounting, finance and international business. Prior to joining Pierpont’s Houston office in 2015, Banks held a range of senior financial roles within the manufacturing, energy and healthcare industries throughout the Gulf Coast area. As CFO, Banks joins Pierpont’s Executive Leadership Team and is the second addition to the firm’s executive team this year.

As Senior Vice President, Jones will continue to lead strategic accounts for Pierpont and shape its crisis management practice. With more than 25 years of experience in crisis, financial and corporate communications, Jones specializes in developing integrated, scalable communications programs that improve brand awareness and mitigate risk for clients in the energy, industrial and power sectors.
