Pierpont Communications Announces Denver Market Entry with Two Strategic Local Hires

Texas’ Leading Independent PR and Digital Marketing Agency Appoints Industry Veterans Dan Mahoney as General Manager and Pete Webb as Senior Counsel to Drive Expansion

Pierpont Communications, a leading independent public relations and integrated digital marketing agency headquartered in Houston with operations in all major Texas markets, announced today it has hired two Colorado communications experts. Dan Mahoney will serve as Vice President & General Manager and Pete Webb as Senior Counsel, both sharing a focus on establishing a Denver market presence and supporting existing clients and industries of the firm.

Dan Mahoney has been appointed as Vice President & General Manager of Pierpont’s Denver operations. He brings two decades of agency experience focused on high-impact marketing and communications strategies within the Denver area. Throughout his career, Mahoney’s crisis management, executive communications, investor relations and public affairs skills have made him a highly sought-after strategist across both mature industries such as financial and professional services, and emerging industries including CleanTech, space and industry 4.0 technologies. Additionally, Mahoney is actively involved in Colorado’s business community through his involvement in the Denver Metro Economic Development Corporation, Colorado Marketing Association, CleanTech Open, National Association of Corporate Directors Colorado and PRSA Colorado.

Webb brings a distinguished career spanning more than a decade as an investigative TV journalist, 32 years of local agency leadership, and three years with the FBI. Webb, along with his wife and business partner Ginny Williams, operated Webb Strategic Communications for over three decades, where they advised a myriad of businesses on crisis management and public education around mining, minerals and environmental issues. Webb is active in the Denver community through roles with the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Business Partnership, South Metro Fire Rescue, Littleton Fire Protection District Board and Special Districts Association of Colorado. In his role as Senior Counsel, Webb will support the agency’s growth in Colorado, while also leveraging his extensive local networking and industry knowledge.
